500 Friends – The Voices for Recovery
For the past 36 years, EPIC Community Services has offered hope to those individuals and families struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
You can offer hope and make a difference too!
Research shows that more than 70% of all people know someone who is struggling with addiction or who needs treatment. Substance abuse is a treatable disease and when addressed properly, people do recover and go on to lead productive healthy lives. Addiction is not a personal weakness or moral failure, rather it is a chronic medical condition that needs to be treated just like any other illness. You can do your part to let those who suffer from addiction know that help exists.
Treatment not only benefits the affected individuals but also their families, workplaces and our community as a whole. On behalf of the Board and staff of EPIC and most especially our clients working hard on their own recovery, we would like to invite you to be a “Voice for Recovery”.
As a ‘Voice’, we can all work together to help people, families and our community recover and heal. By joining EPIC’s ‘500 Friends – The Voices for Recovery’ campaign, you:
• Encourage access to treatment and recovery services through
.. information and education.
• Provide hope and support to those who need it.
• Assure that everyone receives services by contributing to EPIC’s
.. pro-bono work
• Invest in someone’s future and a better community.

Friends’ voices will be felt in a continuation of EPIC’s essential services and will spread through your own tote bag (a sign of our appreciation).
